While we anxiously await the coming of Underfoot – aka New Raid Content, I thought I’d make a Thanksgiving update before UF becomes available.  And, yes, we’re excited that the next EQ expansion shares its initials with our guild.

Stop The Insanity!

All the new Marketplace potions are really starting to piss us off.  Race-changing, gender-bending, name-altering – where is it all going to end?  I mean it was amusing at first when Miraly made the shift back from mangina to Myrak – after all, we’re still chuckling about that cheesy soul patch.  And then our resident crazy barbarian shaman, Konarg, started a poll about which member should get a gender change.  He apparently liked the idea so much that he decided to make some lifestyle changes of his own.  Of course no one really batted an eye because, well, this is Konarg we’re talking about.  I mean this is the guy once torpored Zarax during a raid, leading to one of many guild removals.  His motto is

and as a male barbarian he wasn’t too easy on the eyes to begin with, so no one was too shocked to see

The result was ugly from any angle.

Anyways, we were all on board with all that and could mostly ignore the situation until the line finally got crossed when this came across guildchat…

No way the ultimate mangina was going to change from this, right?

Alas, it was true.  Our worst fear came to pass.

That picture makes me want to vomit.  We need to rise up now, and put an end to SOE’s money-grabbing Marketplace before any more travesties are allowed to occur.

Welcome Back, Monkey!

November did see the return of one of our original monks, Audwon, a cow-herding, Amiga-loving, Commie-leaning Norwegian, whose return to active play enables us to once again field 2 full monk groups per raid (much to Hador’s delight).  He was gone so long (not really) that he thought some of the most fundamental elements of the game may have changed.

He was of course welcomed back warmly and accorded all the respect due to a long-time, senior member of UF.

Welcome back, bro!  And, Nylea, Audwon isn’t just ‘any’ monk.

Hador Wannabe

I profiled Hador on the last update, and Ganarak became so inspired that he decided to try to channel Hador during one recent Hador-less raid.

Perhaps he wanted to be Hador because he heard about this…

Of course, Mychoce has a darker side, too.

Maybe this is why Hador hates the short races – they share a little too much about themselves…

What’s Next?

Underfoot!  Yes, we’re going to jump right in to this expansion as best we can (incoming Death, Frustration, and Good Times!) while continuing to farm Tower, Korafax, Rathe, and various Hard raids.  Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
